CMC Announces Jury for 2018 CAPE Awards
Fairfax, Va. (May 10, 2018)
–
The Culture Marketing Council: The Voice of Hispanic Marketing (CMC)
in partnership with HispanicAd.com announced the distinguished roster of jurors for the 2018 Culture Account Planning Excelencia (CAPE) awards. Formerly the Hispanic Account Planning Excelencia (HAPE) awards, the CAPE awards have been updated to encompass multicultural planning.
The CAPE awards honor the strategic planning and insights that are the bedrock of any multicultural campaign. Winners will be announced at the CMC Annual Conference on Wednesday, June 6 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.
“The role of cultural-driven insights can make a significant difference in crafting an effective marketing program. CMC is thrilled to bring back this important award to celebrate and recognize the power and importance of great insights and the people behind them, said CMC Chair Isaac Mizrahi.
Led by Jury President Victor Paredes, director of strategic planning at WING, the judges for the 2018 CAPE Awards are:
• Marta Insua, vice president of strategic insights at Alma
• Monica Merel, senior specialist of multicultural marketing & brand strategy for Walgreens
• Paco Olavarrieta, chief creative officer at d'exposito and partners
• Victor Paredes, director of strategic planning at WING
• Aldo Quevedo, principal/creative director at Richards/Lerma
This year, there are four categories for submission:
Best Cultural Insight, Mainstream Impact Driven by Cultural Insight, Culture Impact on Innovation,
and
Pro Bono.
The CMC and HispanicAd.com would like to acknowledge Ms. Insua, Sergio Alcocer, founder of social impact creative agency Rest of the World, and Gustavo Foldvari, group planning director at Lopez Negrete Communications, for their strategic vision and input for the competition rules and categories.
“I am proud of the long-standing partnership we’ve had with the CMC not only in educating the industry on the issues that matter most but also in acknowledging the hard work of account planners in multicultural marketing,” said HispanicAd.com CEO Gene Bryan.
